Last night we had our UK launch in the Westbury Hotel in London in partnership with Bronzegate, the leading head-hunters and advisors for financial firms, and what a fantastic evening it was. With over 60 people in attendance from a selection of high powered companies, we told them about our new direction to a lot of interest and excitement. John Timpson, from the key cutters Timpsons, was our key note speaker and gave an inspiring talk on their involvement of recruiting ex-offenders. Key statics show 61% of prisoners reoffend within 2 years of release but this drops dramatically to 19% if they gain employment – highlighting even more how important it is for us to help those who want to rehabilitate.
Fingers crossed this will lead to more partnerships with PCF and help us build our social enterprise programs in prisons, giving offenders renewed focus and direction, self-confidence and the passion to live cleanly once back on the outside.
