upcycle
-
reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original.
As many of you know we have an ongoing recycling scheme which we now prefer to call ‘upcycling’ as we think this is a far more fitting description for the project. We always have and continue to collect ring pulls from drinks cans but we have had a few changes recently to the things we are collecting so we wanted to keep you all up to date with those and ask you to share this with your collection teams.
PLEASE COLLECT:
Ring Pulls from Drinks Cans
Mens Ties
Leather & Canvas Belts
DO NOT COLLECT:
Ring Pulls from Food Tins
Toothpaste Tubes*
Crisp Packets
Bottle Labels
*If you have existing collections of toothpaste tubes we can accept those up until October of this year.
We are excited to be producing new products in our livelihood projects so keep your eye on our online shop.
Posters to encourage collections can be downloaded from our resource library.
