All our products are handmade with love by mothers in our livelihood programme. This initiative started when we saw an increasing number of them struggling to find a stable source of income. As they are already familiar with recycling work after living in a dumpsite for years, we decided to create an opportunity where they can use their skills and earn.
We looked for waste that we could use to make products and discovered the wonders of discarded ring pulls from canned drinks. We began making handbags and accessories using ring pulls 17 years ago, and many of our mothers were able to set up small businesses from the income they saved!
In celebration of our 20th anniversary, they created exclusive products which are now available at our Purple shop. Every purchase you make will help us give more vulnerable mothers the chance to build the best possible lives for themselves and their families.
